Michael Gold

Michael Gold is a serial entrepreneur focused on social technology.

He serves as the Entrepreneur in Residence at NYU’s Future Reality Lab where he works as the Co-founder and CEO of Autotoon Inc., a company that’s developing technology to automatically animate 3D characters in real-time for use in social experiences.

Previously, Michael was the Co-founder and CEO of Holojam, a company whose real-time network was used in critically acclaimed social virtual and augmented reality experiences and was itself a VR/AR Top 5 Finalist in SXSW 2017.

Prior to that, he was the co-founder and CTO of the social networking startup Clubster (acquired 2017), and he also developed social marketing technology for brands including LG, Starbucks, and Target.

Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Computing, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from NYU, where he received the Computer Science Department’s Innovation Fellowship Prize for his research in deep learning and procedurally animated characters.
