Biography
Marshall Lewy, chief content officer, oversees all podcast content for Wondery and Amazon
Music. Recently, Wondery/Amazon won six Ambie Awards for their Original podcasts—including
Podcast of the Year for the critically acclaimed show 9/12—along with the true-crime favorite
Suspect, business rivalry podcast Business Wars, and the in-depth sports show The Lead.
Lewy oversees the slate of productions for Wondery and Amazon Originals from development
through release, with such notable titles as Over My Dead Body, The Apology Line, Harsh
Reality, and Dr. Death.
In addition to the Originals, Lewy and the content team collaborate closely with prominent
external creators, including leading family podcast company Tinkercast, Guy Raz and the How I
Built This team, and with prestigious podcast studio Pineapple Street. A number of Wondery
original shows have also been adapted for scripted television or streaming series, where Lewy
is an executive producer. These adaptations include Dr. Death and Joe vs Carole on Peacock,
and The Shrink Next Door and WeCrashed on Apple TV+.
The Harvard and Columbia graduate was previously in film development at New Line Cinema, a
partner at Adaptive Studios, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 2015 as an Executive
producer for HBO’s Project Greenlight, and in 2019 was nominated for an International
Documentary Association Award as producer for Wondery’s Gladiator: The Aaron Hernandez
and Football Inc.
