Biography
Lauren Martinez is a life-long lover of animation who recently joined the Netflix team as Manager of Content for Adult Animation Genre working on highly anticipated shows like Blue Eyed Samurai
(S2), Devil May Cry and Twilight: Midnight Sun. She previously served as Vice President of Original Series for Cartoon Network/ Warner Bros. Animation where she developed a slate of upcoming titles such as SuperMutant Magic Academy, Adventure Time: Side Quests and a new iteration of Regular Show.
She started her nearly 13-year career at Disney as an artist at Disneyland’s Animation Academy before a taking a jaunt into animation production at Nickelodeon as an intern on shows such as Sanjay and Craig and PA on Fairly Odd Parents testing out her skills as a storyboard artist. She then pivoted to Creative Affairs back at Disney where she spearheaded studio beautification and helped develop the Creative Mentorship Program that continues to mentor top-of-show talent into leadership roles. As Director of Development for Disney Television Animation and Disney Junior, she helped produce a wide variety of series including Kif , Amphibia, The Owl House and The Ghost and Molly McGee and Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, Kindergarten The Musical,
Mickey Mouse Saves Christmas, and many more. She currently lives in Altadena with her husband and twin daughters and is expecting a new baby girl to join the super team this winter.
