Biography
Carol Hanley is a media industry veteran who has shaped digital innovation and fueled data-driven growth strategies for some of the world’s largest entertainment organizations for more than 25 years.
As President of Whip Media, Carol leads global growth strategy and performance for the company. Whip Media’s market-leading enterprise software and data platform enables entertainment organizations to efficiently distribute, control and monetize their TV and movie content to drive revenue and direct-to-consumer growth.
Prior to Whip Media, Carol served as CRO of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, where she led the company’s corporate sales strategy, focusing on driving revenue growth, identifying synergies, and creating advanced client solutions across Deluxe’s global brands. Before Deluxe, Carol spent thirteen years as the EVP Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer at Nielsen Audio. There, she led ten business units and a team of more than 250 people to achieve the company’s highest revenue and market share in its history. Carol also served as SVP and CRO of Arbitron before it was acquired by Nielsen. In this role, she helped develop new forms of measurement for emerging digital formats including iHeartRadio. She also served as a Managing Partner at Morrison and Abraham.
In 2021, Carol was named to CableFax’s list of Most Powerful Women. She has been named to Cynopsis Media’s Top 100 Women in Media list for the past three years. Carol frequently speaks at industry events on the integral role that consumer data plays in today’s new content landscape.
