Sahil Patel

As senior reporter for Digiday, Sahil Patel currently leads Digiday’s coverage of the video industry and oversees the company’s biannual Digiday Video Anywhere Summit. Prior to Digiday, he was the launch Editorial Director of VideoInk, a business trade publication dedicated to the emerging “online video” entertainment industry. There, he oversaw all editorial content for VideoInk, including daily and breaking news, features, company and creator profiles, and special issues. He also helped program VideoInk’s annual and monthly events, among other responsibilities. Prior to VideoInk, Sahil was the Editor of Cynopsis Digital, a daily newsletter for media, marketing, and agency executives. During his time as a reporter and editor, Sahil has appeared as a guest speaker at Cannes Lions, The New York Television Festival, NATPE, VidCon, Social Media Week, and NPR’s “On the Media” program. Sahil holds a degree in Film Studies with a concentration on production and development from Vanderbilt University.
